Established in 1908, UBC is British'™ Columbia’s oldest institution of ↑‍σhigher learning and one of the λ↕♥•best universities in Canada along wit∏©h McGill University and University of ₩'Toronto. In order to establish a platform where o∞₽≤→utstanding Chinese students can collide w ♠ith minds from top universiπα↔ties in the world, in the springtime of 2019, USI'€εEA has built a collab €oration with University of British Co≥δ&lumbia. Qualified students will b¥↔αe selected from universiti§σes across China by USIEA to go study in UBC. Stu✔♠©€dents will receive a certificate from UBC, a©÷nd even will have an opportunity t♥&o gain a recommendation lett↔∞er from professors as a boσ'♠☆nus to their further studiφ'§es application. Students will also be able to exp✘± and their connections, open the•"™&ir minds and make the right decisions abou±‍λt their future.

Full-time bachelors or m←$‌asters students with ≥÷®good academic results and characters.

Students need to have basic En≠↕←glish skills and will need to take a placement t÷"est after being admitted int∞§↑o the program.

Students need to pas★λα÷s USIEA’s intervi÷φ©$ew and UBC’s academic check.

What courses will be provided?

two categories

English Academic Program – aimingσ •© at improving academic reading, writing, s₽¶±γpeaking and listening. A comprehensive language↓♥× skill course.

Students will study in the δ→classroom in the mornings and go on fie ←ld trips in the afte≈↑←♥rnoons. The theme is different every week, an↕γ☆d students will have opportunities‌>≈↑ to go visit communities and ‍πΩ be more interactive.

Can students live in the dormitories on≠≠> campus?

USIEA will organize host familie☆≈α✘s for all the students throughout the program. σδ'Students will have the opportunity to interact ≥ $ with local residents and gain a better u™>™≤nderstanding of Canad ♦ian culture and traditions.

Students need to have basic English ski™∑≥☆lls and will need to take a placement te★♠₹st after being admitted into th∞ γ←e program.

Students need to pass USIEA&rsquo±↓;s interview and UBC’s ≥ academic check.

What courses will be provided?

Students will study 4 full days from Mond"±↔ays through to Thursdays and only h¶→ £alf a day on Fridays. Usu♠♦ ally students will have‌♦€ comprehensive English skill course↓♣s in the morning and seminars in the afternoon&←. Students will need &£to choose a topic to do research on and pre≠✔♣βsent and will go their pres'™₽‌entation on Thursday afterno≠↔>on. Topics include cross-cultural communication, ∑∏ Canadian society, politics an÷ε$d current affairs, climate change, media an∏✔£d technology, careers, global citizen, etc. ©≈¥¶Every Friday morning, there will be themed seminars and discussions. £↕÷α
