Students can choose two types of courses:&nb♦•sp;English Plus and Academic English. All students will be mix εed with the current students on ELP and admin×σistered by the University of Toronto☆∑.
English Plus, Summer 2019

Focused on improving your ge✘®'neral English for everyday communication, t↕₩his course will help you feel more confidenγΩ®∞t in using English to communicate with fr¶€iends, at work and as you &≈&explore Toronto. A week₩'≈ly “Conversation Caféγ♠∞¶” will help you deve♠Ωλlop your informal speaking skills in→α₹ a fun environment.

Academic English, Semester 2019
August 31, 2020 - December 18, 2020
Students will first att♠™₩≠end a four-week “English Plδ$€ us” as the prep☆•☆§aration course and&n✔$bsp;then attend the “♠♥Academic English” φ¥<∞course. It prepares for undergraduate or gra duate studies by developing § the reading, writing, listening >↓∑and speaking skills needed for←✘ rigorous academic studies. This pathway $♦π course will help you meet the Engl•₽¥εish language facility requirement of your choλ±sen university or college.

“Grade B” or above in the hiφ☆ghest level of Academic Eng δ ☆lish (Level 60) satisfies the lang♣✘σ₹uage facility requirement₹§₩ for admission to undergrad≈±≤uate and most graduate programs at the Universi®∞≥ty of Toronto. A number of other institutions al☆'☆so accept the Academic English certific↕€ation.

Entry Requirements
>> Full-time stu&♣∑±dents who are officially registered at ≠β☆USIEA’s Chinese partner universi↑₩≥ties.
>> IELTS/TOEFL ★γ§εtranscripts are not r∞β equired, but students¶ will be assessed of their English÷β proficiency upon arrival to determine the level¥↑s of course that they will b♣₽♥e placed into.
>> Pass USIEA’s interview and Univ☆π$☆ersity of Toronto’s ♠>♣academic review
Accommodation
A wide variety of housing opt∑γions is available in Tor¶↕∏onto including homestay, apartments, yout•→±←h hostels, off-campus residences, hotels and∑£Ω, during the summer months, ×Ωaccommodation in on-campus u↑≥niversity residences. USIEA will €♠✔help students with housing arrangements once they₩↕ are admitted by University of Toronto ELP.
