Based on students’ study go★ φ™al, the level of English and₹→ academic background, two tracks of study ab↓↑road programs can be se©lected: English Lang∏εuage Programs and credit bearing academic pr¥£ograms. English Languaε≠→÷ge programs are offered b>✔∑φy CELOP (Center for English Language & Ori$✘φentation Programs), the English langu₽™₽age center of Boston University. Student× s are registered and managed by CELOP thr☆↕oughout the study abroad program. Studen★≠>∏ts will be awarded CELOP Study Cer&£♦↕tificate and Evaluation Form upon succ∏×essful completion of prog♥↕♠rams.
Academic programs are offered by Metr ↔σ←opolitan College of Bδ♦>oston University. Students witα♠₽¥h academic backgrounds on business, compu♠∏®ter science or biotechnology canσ↑∏ apply to study the ' related courses during the→♣ one-semester program at Metrop✘Ω→→olitan College. Visi ✔ting students will be able to regis$♦ter for courses and study with Boston Un≤πφiversity Metropolitan Col<¥lege degree-seeking students. Uponσ←£± successful completion of courses at Metropolitan♥♠ College the student will obtain a ♣≠Boston University official trans∑₹α≈cript and Boston University ♠♠δ♠academic credits.

Summer Session, 2019
Intensive English: July 3rd - August 16✘↕'th,2019/July 18th - August 16¥±&th, 2019
The Intensive 4-week program is o×♠γ±ffered in the winter. The program has 4 levels iγ→δnstruction: Elementary, Intermediate, H≈ igh Intermediate and Advanced. The progra♠₩γm consists of morning Core class÷σ×∞es from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Core c∑∑lasses focus on improvin÷≥g skills in all four areas; listening, $×→speaking, reading, and writing. There w↕☆ill be also Special Focus Class twice a week inφ✘ the afternoon from 1:30pm to 4pm.
Fall Semester, 2019
12-week program is offered in Fall fro γm September 19-December 13, 2019. The program is designed to help λ→students develop the÷↑ skills, fluency, and conΩα₩fidence they need to comδ€municate effectively in English. Students ✘& will be able to improve overall abilities Ωφ↓in both spoken and written English,☆ as well as their unde♠×Ωπrstanding of U.S. culture. There are 20 π ↕academic hours per week and 8 levels of instructi$∏on, from Elementary to Ad♣≤♠ vanced. The program offers four Core class✘♦• concentrations: Englishσ§ for Academic Purpos♠→es, English for Science and Technology, E✔✘nglish for International Business, <₩and English Language and Culture, whic←π ∞h enables students to focus↓ λ an area of personal interest. New students are g♣÷∞✔iven an English Placement Exam to dete×♥§rmine their English level. >∞→Students at the lower levels ar♥±e placed in the English Language σ™βand Culture concentration←'¥≠. Students in the upper levels can choose a♣δδ concentration. The program consists of mo<★rning Core classes and afternoon El₽÷≤ective classes. Core clas↕♠✔•ses are integrated instruction in all fo€'"σur language skills: speaking, listening re↕↕ading, and writing. Elective classes include Aca↑↓÷demic Writing, Introduction to American CultureπΩ, Business Communication and iBT TOEFL♣≤♠€ Preparation. All the courses al ®±low students to customize a ¶σ program based on their needs and goals.

2. Students should have basic E↑¶∑§nglish skills and rational •≠study plan; Students also need to pass the inε ™terview of US International Education Associati✘→on and academic review by CELO↑ΩP, Boston University.

Metropolitan College ±♠©εoffers a unique study-abroad ♥program to international students fr±δ§om its partner organizations. The unde®♥rgraduate program is&$± open to students with major©↕ s related to Business, Computer Scieπ♦©'nce or Biotechnology, wh♣≤o have completed freshman courses. ™¥The graduate program is open to students with ₹€∏majors related to Business and Co→♦αmputer Science only. Visiting students wil>÷&l enroll as full-time students at Metro↕→πpolitan College (MET) to take 3-5 courses γ≈in one semester (12-20 academi♦₩£∏c credits).
MET is one of 17 degree-granting colleges of Bost↓×φon University. Since 1965, MET has offered unde≈ rgraduate and graduate programs, including Busδ© ∞iness, Computer Scie $☆φnce, Economics, Psychology, Mathe→↑matics, Biology, Chemistry etc. MET offers ed♦★÷♠ucation opportunities for w ε"orking professionals as well.
Students are eligiblγ×e for up to two fitness a☆σ≠nd recreation credits at no additional λ↔charge. Upon successful comp>↓letion of courses, students receive an¶<σ official transcript and academic credits from Bo¶←ston University.
Admission Requirements
1. Second to fourth year Undergraduate studen≈↑↕ts and graduate stude≠↔"nts with good academic performan§ ↑ ce. Registered at USIEA&rsqγ uo;s Chinese partner universities as full- ★£time students;
2. Academic Requirements:∑∏♥ 84 IBT (Reading 21, Lisλλtening 18, Speaking 23, Writ←¶ing 22), IELTS 6.5 (no sub score ♣≠is lower than 6.5), GPA 3.0
3. Students are required tλ₩♠£o pass the interview of US Internation×→al Education Association a←nd academic review by Metropolitan✔ ©÷ University.
Housing
Boston University offers CELOP students and u ∏∏δndergraduate students the opportunitε¶™≥y to live on-campus in universi¥ ty dormitories, and Boston University Housing offα≈∏∑ers a variety of housing options through®∏♦out the year. Students normally share a$∏ room with one or more people, both Ame∑<•rican and internatio↕"≤nal, which is an important part o™♣≈f their Boston University experience.✘≈↑♠ It also provides a great opportuni ₽≠ty for students to practice E∑σnglish and interact with students from oth∞✔♦γer countries. University dorm♣•itories are all loca"® ted throughout Boston University campusλ& with convenient public ≤↕↓™transportation and safe environment.λδ To live in university dormitories, ≥≈students will be required to purchase on←∏©≈e of the six dining plans which enable studenΩ∞÷ts to have meals at all campus restaurant and pε§ay at campus stores.
